Job Title:Marketing Manager – E-commerce

Reports to:Marketing Director

Rate/Hours:Hourly, 40 hours per week



Are you an e-commerce marketing genius just waiting for the opportunity to show how good you really are? We are looking for the right person to lead our e-commerce team.

We're seeking a leader who is ready to take on the challenge of developing & maintaining a strategy and managing execution of both our customer acquisition and our customer retention tactics. This person will be an integral member of the JLG Marketing team, reporting directly to the Marketing Director, and s/he will have the opportunity to help shape the growth plan and directly contribute to the success of the JLG AVC business.

The main focus for this e-commerce expert will be to drive order growth while managing a target cost-per-acquisition. We expect this person to provide strong leadership in identifying opportunities to grow existing channels and expand into new channels to drive growth. At the same time, the Marketing Manager will lead efforts to drive increased retention and up-selling at all touch points with the consumer.


Develop and execute conversion-driving marketing tactics to direct orders through and our Amazon selling channel. You will be the leader tasked with developing the strategy and managing both our customer acquisition and retention tactics. Specifically, you will be expected to generate ideas and strategies around the following two critical areas:

Customer Acquisition

  • Paid Search
  • Affiliates
  • Paid display tactics
  • Social media advertising (mainly Facebook)
  • Shopping ads

Customer Retention

  • Email
  • Direct mail
  • Loyalty Program


  • Establish and execute promotional strategies to optimize each tactic
  • Manage key vendor relationships with vendors such as paid search agency, email service provider, affiliate partners, shopping comparison engines, and online media companies
  • Manage budget, coordinate contracts and insertion orders, accruals, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new channels and/or expand existing channels for customer acquisition
  • Coordinate with consumer marketing group for support on creative messaging, campaigns, social media,
    and public relations
  • Coordinate and gain leverage from web analytics to support campaign analysis and optimization
    especially for paid search and customer list analytics/segmentation
  • Partner with Product Management team to drive marketing tactics to improve conversion rate and/or
    customer retention (e.g., Frequent Buyer Loyalty program, Email Preference Center, etc.)
  • Manage team of 1-3 people

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years experience in B2C e-commerce marketing
  • Experience managing conversion-driving marketing campaigns in a competitive consumer market
  • Demonstrated strength in execution and analysis
  • Excellent management and team leadership skills
  • Strong teamwork and ability to collaborate well with many stakeholders
  • Desire to learn, grow and contribute to the success of the JLG e-commerce business


  • SALARY- Compensation commensurate with experience
  • HOURS:Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, 1 hour lunch break, weekends as needed
