- Fast-acting spray breaks down bugs, tar, sap & adhesive
- Spray on, wipe off - no scrubbing required
- Safe on paint, glass, plastic & chrome
- Won’t etch or dull clear coats or ceramic coatings
- Ideal for cars, trucks & motorcycles
Jay’s Bug & Tar Remover is a targeted pre-cleaner designed to tackle the toughest contaminants your regular wash can’t handle. Bug splatter is highly acidic and can damage your finish if left untreated, while tar and road grime bond tightly to paint and trim. This formula neutralizes and loosens those contaminants so they can be safely wiped away.
Use it as a pre-wash step before your regular wash, or as a spot treatment after a drive. It’s especially effective on high-impact areas like front bumpers, mirrors, windshields, rocker panels, and motorcycle fairings.
Whether you’re cleaning up after a long highway drive, a weekend ride, or just dealing with everyday road grime, Bug & Tar Remover helps restore a clean surface quickly - without aggressive scrubbing.
Pro Tips
- Use before washing to prevent grinding contaminants into paint
- Pair with a microfiber towel for safe removal
- Great for bugs on motorcycle windshields and fairings
- Works on adhesive residue from stickers and road film
Important Use Information
Bug & Tar Remover is a powerful, targeted cleaner designed to break down stubborn organic residue, road tar, tree sap, and adhesive contamination. Always use only as directed and test in an inconspicuous area before full application to confirm surface compatibility and desired results.
For best results, use only on cool surfaces in a shaded area. Do not use on hot panels or in direct sunlight. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Excessive dwell time, improper use, or failure to wipe away residue promptly may increase the risk of staining, streaking, or surface damage.
Surface condition, contamination severity, temperature, sun exposure, finish type, and maintenance history all affect results and are beyond our control. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended care instructions when selecting and using surface cleaning products.
How to Use:
Bug & Tar Remover is a strong, fast-acting formula. For safe use and best results, follow these instructions carefully.
1. Park vehicle in a shaded area and ensure all surfaces are cool to the touch.
2. Shake well before use.
3. Spray directly onto the affected area, thoroughly saturating visible bug remains, tar, sap, or adhesive residue.
4. Allow the product to dwell briefly so it can begin breaking down contamination. Do not allow it to dry on the surface.
5. Wipe clean using a soft, damp microfiber towel with light pressure. For stubborn buildup, repeat application as needed rather than scrubbing aggressively.
6. Follow with a second clean microfiber towel to buff the area dry and reveal a clean finish.
Do not use on overly hot surfaces, and do not apply to any surface where chemical sensitivity is unknown without first testing a small, hidden area.
